In the age of the internet and more and more pay-per-view fights, fans are more likely to pay attention to illegal "streams" through which they can watch their favorite boxers.

The cost of such broadcasts in the United States ranges from $50 to $90. Viewers also complain about the quality of the "paid" duels that ordinary viewers could watch on free TV 20 years ago. Fans are choosing alternative ways to watch over and over again, resulting in lower broadcast revenue and, at the same time, lower boxing fees.

This trend does not like the former WBC champion Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs), who addressed all the fans in this regard.

“Stop stealing those damn broadcasts. We can't make good numbers and make money if everyone is stealing these streams and broadcasting them. That's why the numbers are so low and will continue to be low because everyone is stealing. Boxers work hard, risking their lives for the entertainment of others. Let's have some respect. Watch fights, but pay for them. If you can't afford to pay for it yourself, get in groups and watch together," Wilder said.
