According to American columnist Michael Coppinger, representatives George Kambosos (20-2, 10 KOs) and Maxi Hughes (26-5-2, 5 KOs) agreed to fight and signed a contract for a fight in June in Australia.
In his last two fights in the pro ring, the former unified world lightweight champion lost to Devin Haney. After the second defeat from the American, the 29-year-old boxer announced the end of his professional career, but quickly changed his mind.
Hughes hasn't lost since 2019 and his latest appearances include fights with Kid Galahad and Ryan Walsh. The date and venue of the fight will be officially confirmed in the near future.
