Tony Harrison (29-3-1, 21 KOs) confident that he will win Tim Tszyu (21-0, 15 KOs) and will win the interim version of the WBO junior middleweight belt this coming Sunday in Sydney.
The son of the legendary Kostya Tszyu was the mandatory challenger for Jermell Charlo, the absolute champion in the weight category up to 69 kg. The American, however, refused this fight, citing an injury, so Tim and Tony were appointed by the World Boxing Organization as contenders for the "interim" title.
“He never fought anyone at the championship level. I will be his first such opponent and possibly the last. I will send him down a few levels and he will have to start his journey again. He's a nice guy, don't get me wrong, but he's a far cry from his father. This is not the second Kostya Tszyu. I will be too strong for him,” said Harrison, who owned the WBC belt at the turn of 2018 and 2019.
