Former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker commented on the dismissal from the promotion Darren Till.
“It came as a surprise to me, to be honest. I would like to believe that what happened has nothing to do with his recent defeats. I think there is something more serious, like mental health problems or injuries or something like that. I think there was a conversation between them, and they came to an agreement to release him from the contract. I can't imagine them firing Darren because of his performances. Of course, he has lost five of his last six fights, but he is still very famous, especially in Britain. He has a big name. People love the way he carries himself. He's a fun guy, very charismatic. No, I find it hard to believe that he was fired because of defeats.
