Wilder Ruiz June 3 in Abu Dhabi?

Eddie Hearn said he was in talks to organize a fight between Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) and Andy Ruiz Jr. (35-2, 22 KOs) at the Matchroom Boxing evening. The fight may take place on June 3 in Abu Dhabi.

Wilder recently announced that he is a free agent and, after years of working with Al Haymon, entered into negotiations with other promoters. At stake in the fight will be the title of mandatory contender for the WBC world heavyweight title.

The Bronze Bomber last fought in October, defeating Robert Helenius by knockout in the first round. It was the return of the American to the ring after two defeats by Tyson Fury. In the event of a victory over Ruiz, he is again a contender for Tyson Fury.
