Alvarez confirms next fight will be in Mexico

Saul Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs) confirmed that he will fight next in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he will defend the WBA, WBO, IBF and WBC super middleweight belts.

It was previously reported that negotiations were underway for a fight between Canelo and John Ryder (32-5, 18 KOs), which should take place on May 6 at a 50,000-seat stadium.

Canelo has two professional fights scheduled this year. In September, a boxer from Mexico should have a rematch with Dmitry Bivol.
