Former world champion in two weight classes Louis Neri (34-1, 26 KOs) knocked out in the eleventh round in a spectacular fight Azat Hovhannisyan (21-4, 17 KOs) in the Golden Boy Promotions Main Event in Pomona, California.
At the time the fight was stopped at 1:51, Neri was ahead on the scorecards: 95-94, 96-93, 96-93. Hovhannisyan was counted out for a knockdown in the tenth round. He was visibly shaken in the eleventh round and referee Ray Corona stopped the bout. Thus, the Mexican won his third victory after losing to Brandon Figueroa.
