Fundora-Mendoza on April 8 for WBC interim title

Interim WBC Welterweight Champion Sebastian Fundora (20-0-1, 13 KOs) is scheduled to fight again on April 8 in the USA. The opponent of the 25-year-old athlete will be Brian Mendoza (21-2, 15 KOs).

Fundora last fought in October, winning a unanimous decision over Carlos Ocampo. Mendoza won in his last fight against Jason Rosario.

The full champion of the World Boxing Council in the weight category up to 69 kg is Jermell Charlo, who is currently injured and plans to fight the winner of the fight Tim Tszyu - Tony Harrison later.
