Hearn: Haney could easily beat Lomachenko

Promoter Eddie Hearn believes the undisputed lightweight champion is 24-year-old Devin Haney easily cope in a possible fight with the former king of this weight category Vasily Lomachenko. Presumably, their meeting is scheduled for May 20 in the United States.

"Haney will easily beat Lomachenko," Hearn told BoxingScene.com. “Lomachenko is far from the fighter he was, and I think Devin will be too big and tall for him.”

Lomachenko had his last fight in October last year, when he defeated Jamaine Ortiz on points. Haney has won two consecutive victories over former unified world champion George Kambosos in his previous two fights.

Haney collaborated with Hearn for a long time, but before the fight with Kambosos, he switched from DAZN to ESPN.
