Alexander Krasyuk, promoter of the WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), shared his views on the situation around the former world champion in three divisions Vasily Lomachenko (17-2, 11 KOs).

Recall that the Rukh CHESNO public organization included Lomachenko in the register of state traitors. The reason for this was the boxer's post on Instagram with a sermon by Metropolitan Longin, a bishop of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate.

“I can’t comment on this any more than it is commented on in an open environment. That is, we are talking about the fact that I do not communicate with Lomachenko personally, I do not know his real point of view. But, if we look at his latest posts on Instagram, we see the same direction.

Of course, all this is hidden under such a screen of religion, faith in God, Orthodoxy, etc. But this is nothing more than sentimentalism. In all denominations, they take advantage of the sentimentalism and short-sightedness of their parishioners and thus manipulate their minds. This is not my invention, but what is known to the entire enlightened world.

And, probably, Lomachenko became one of those whose minds are being manipulated. But on my part, this is no more than an assumption. It is unlikely that he is a big supporter of the enemy, he is unlikely to be a supporter of Russia, he is unlikely to be an opponent of Ukraine. I'm sure it's not.

As for such cases, where there are no authorities who could accurately report what is happening, because there is a secret of confession between the parishioners and the priest, what ideology the priest professes, it is difficult to say.

It is important to always keep in mind that church, religion and faith are three things that very often do not touch each other. We understand what faith is. The church is an organization, and religion is a whole organized system of knowledge and influence in order to get some specific audience within the framework of common interests or ideology. Therefore, faith should not be confused with everything else. If a person confuses, becomes a victim of manipulation and thus cannot distinguish truth from untruth,” Krasyuk said.
