The World Boxing Organization (WBO) Jermell Charlo (35-1-1, 19 KOs) until January 2 to present medical documents confirming the injury of the left hand. The American last week reported an injury that would prevent him from making a mandatory World Boxing Organization title defense against Tim Tszyu (21-0, 15 KOs).

The fight was scheduled for January 28 in Las Vegas. Charlo has held the WBO belt since July, when he won a unification bout with Brian Castano.

If Charlo loses the title, Tszyu and Tony Harrison, who previously held the belt in the 69 kg weight category, will probably fight for the vacant trophy.
