Gervonta Davis (27-0, 25 KOs) was arrested Tuesday in Florida on charges of battery and domestic violence. The American must fight Hector Luis Garcia (16-0, 10 KOs) January 7 in Washington, DC.
Davis has had problems with the law in the past. There is no official news about the possible cancellation or postponement of the January fight yet.
During the evening of boxing in Washington, former middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade is also due to return to the ring and there will be a fight for the interim IBF welterweight belt between Jaron Ennis and Karen Choukhadzhyan.
