April this year Errol Spence (28-0, 22 KOs) returned to the ring after a long break and won Yordenis Ugas in a unification bout with three belts at stake. Then it seemed that his career would pick up again, but, unfortunately, it could slow down again.
The WBC, WBA and IBF champion has announced that he will return to the ring no earlier than April 2023. He still hopes for a full title unification with Terence Crawford (39-0, 30 KOs), the WBO champion. Another option is Keith Thurman (30-1, 22 KOs).
“We were going to announce the fight, but we need to wait a bit. Let's hope that next year we can arrange a fight with Crawford. If he does everything to make this fight take place, it will definitely take place. I'll be back in April, May or June," Spence Jr. said.
