Former world champion in four weight categories, American Adrien Broner (34-4-1, 24 KOs) said that after the fight with the Ukrainian Ivan Redkach (23-6-1, 18 KOs) will fight the WBC world champion in the first welterweight division Regis Prograis (28-1, 24 KOs).

“The thing is, Regis wanted to fight me, but I said, ‘This fight means nothing to me right now. You are not a champion. Now, the fact that he returned the title does not mean anything either. I will beat Prograis.
I then thought: "Go, return the title and after that we can fight." He fulfilled his part of the deal, went and returned the title, now it's my turn. I have to deal with Redkach in February, and then we'll talk to Regis."

Recall that the duel between Broner and Redkach was previously announced on February 18 in the United States.
