Former World Light Middleweight Champion Austin Trout (35-5-1, 18 KOs) signed a contract with the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. The American will fight his first bare-knuckle fight in early February at an evening hosted in the United States.

Trout's opponent in his BKFC debut will be Diego Sanchez, who has been a regular at UFC nights for several years now. Before that, Trout will have one more fight in professional boxing.

On December 9, at the tournament in Hidalgo, the ex-champion in the weight category up to 69 kg will meet Jose Sanchez Charles (20-2-1, 12 KOs). For Trout, who last fought in July, this will be his second fight this year.
