Undefeated Swedish UFC welterweight Khamzat Chimaev spoke about a possible fight against the former interim champion American Colby Covington. Earlier it was reported that this fight could take place in early spring.

“I think the fight with Covington will be much easier than with Burns, because in the fight with Gilbert I was fixated on the knockout, forgetting about the game plan. However, I'm glad the fight turned out the way it did, because it teaches you to be smarter. Next time I'll think twice before doing stupid things and running after my opponent.

Covington is not a fighter like Burns. I can take him to the ground, make a submission, knock him out. Usman dropped it, Masvidal dropped it, so why shouldn't I do it too? If I hit him, he will be guaranteed a long sleep, ”ESPN quotes Chimaev as saying.
