Ryan Garcia is also planning an interim fight in January

Former Interim World Lightweight Champion Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs) announced that he would have his next fight in January. For the Mexican, this will be a "warm-up" fight before an important fight against Gervonts Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) April 15.

The 24-year-old Garcia last fought in July, defeating Javier Fortuna by knockout. This year, the American had two victorious fights.

It is not yet known who will become Garcia's opponent in January. The April fight with Davis will take place in the contract intermediate limit of 136 pounds.
