In his first fight in nearly three years, WBA cruiserweight champion Arsen Gulamiryan (27-0, 18 KOs) defeated mandatory challenger Alexei Yegorov (11-1, 7 KOs) by unanimous decision in Saturday night's main event at the Arena La Palette in Le Cannet, France.

From the beginning of the fight, Yegorov worked quite successfully with his front hand, but in the middle of the fight, Gulamiryan began to deliver powerful blows, causing noticeable damage to Yegorov. By the eighth round, Gulamiryan's advantage became even more noticeable, although Yegorov continued to work on counterattacks. The end of the fight was in abundant mutual clinches. Judges score: twice 116-112 and 117-111.
