Jose Pedraza withdrew from the battle Teofimo Lopez (17-1, 13 KOs) due to health issues. The place of the Puerto Rican in this fight will now take Sandor Martin (40-2, 13 KOs).

The fight will be the main event of the Top Rank boxing evening, which will take place on December 10 in New York. In August, Lopez made his debut in a new weight category, winning ahead of schedule against Pedro Campa. This was Lopez's first fight since losing to George Kambosos last year.

Martin defeated Mikey Garcia last year, and in his last appearance in the ring he defeated Jose Felix.
