Andy Ruiz Jr. (35-2, 22 KOs) was on the list of several potential opponents Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs). Such a list was provided by Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, and according to Ruiz himself, he would gladly complete their trilogy.

After two fights in 2019, the gentlemen still have a 1:1 draw. First, The Destroyer won by TKO in the seventh round, and then AJ took revenge and returned the IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight belts. At the moment, the former two-time world heavyweight champion is set to return to the ring in March.

“I would like to take back the titles that once belonged to me, which is why I work so hard in training. I personally spoke with AJ, and he himself wants such a fight. He told me that he was interested in our trilogy. It would be really interesting,” said the first-ever world heavyweight champion of Mexican origin. Now, according to preliminary information, Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) should become his next opponent, because it was them that the WBC leadership appointed as participants in the final eliminator.

“I still believe that I am underestimated and doomed to failure in the context of the fight with Wilder. We have completely different styles, I like counter-attacking boxing, and if I go to the middle distance, Wilder will have problems, ”says Ruiz Jr.
