WBC Officially Sets Wilder-Ruiz Fight

The World Boxing Council (WBC) officially scheduled the fight Deontay Wilder against Andy Ruiz Jr. as the final eliminator to determine the next mandatory challenger for Tyson Fury's WBC heavyweight title.

"I'm really confident in myself," Ruiz said in an earlier interview with iD Boxing. “No one can match my style. As soon as I get into the ring, I become a different person. I believe that my skills, strength, speed, movement, and even my short stature are my advantages. Tall guys have a harder time fighting shorter guys who move and move fast. I will beat Wilder."
