Chandler doesn't care about underdog status in Poirier fight
Michael Chandler commented on the fact that he is considered the underdog in the upcoming fight with Dustin Poirier.
“I don't mind being an underdog. To be honest, I was him in almost all my fights. I don't think I was an underdog in my last fight with Tony Ferguson, but you've seen the media doing polls on Instagram. I know you can't judge by polls like this, but it's fun. I get featured in these polls, I click on them and I see Poirier has 92% and Chandler has 8%. And I'm like: okay. All the bookies think I have a 27% chance of winning, so I've put up with it. You need to understand that the guy who has been in the organization longer will always have an advantage when it comes to quotes. Poirier has always been a top, so I don't let that hurt me. This is a guy with two arms and two legs, competing in my weight class.”
Recall that the fight between Chandler and Poirier will be held on November 12 in New York.
