Bivol confidently defeated Ramirez on points

WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol (21-0, 11 KOs) defended his title by defeating the previously undefeated Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez (44-1, 30 KOs) in Saturday night's main event at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

After four cautious rounds, Bivol gradually began to gain the upper hand. Zurdo, who was noticeably superior to the champion in anthropometry, never managed to find an answer to Bivol's exact combinations, and he seemed hesitant to throw out something more or less serious. Zurdo at the end of the fight tried to go forward, but only ran into Bivol's oncoming blows. Judging score: 118-110 and twice 117-111.
