Volkanovski urged Makhachev to sign a contract for the fight

Current UFC Featherweight Champion Alex Volkanovski turned to the organization's lightweight champion Islam Makhachev with a proposal to sign a contract for the fight.

"Are you a man of your word? Let's do it!" Alex tweeted.

Earlier it was reported that the fight between Volkanovski and Makhachev could headline UFC 284, which will be held on February 11 in Perth, Australia.
