Usman: I still consider myself a champion

Former UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman admitted that he still considers himself the best fighter in the division.

“I dealt with the defeat the way it needed to be done. I am the champion. I still consider myself a champion. What can you even talk about here? Everyone knows who is the best welterweight in the world.

Leon did a good job, he landed a good shot at the right moment. But he and I know perfectly well who is the best welterweight on the planet. He understands this very well,” Edwards said in an interview with TMZ Sports.

Recall that on August 20 at the UFC 278 tournament, Usman lost to Edwards by knockout and lost his championship belt.
