Taylor defeated Carabajal, Martinez knocked out Gill

Absolute Lightweight Champion Katie Taylor (22-0, 6 KOs) successfully defended her WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO titles with a unanimous decision victory over Karen Elizabeth Carabajal (19-1, 2 KOs) in the main event of the evening at the Wembley OVO Arena in London. Taylor convincingly outplayed Carbajal 100-91, 99-91 and 98-92.

Also this evening, 36-year-old ex-world champion in two weight categories Kiko Martinez (44-11-2, 31 KOs) toppled European featherweight champion Jordan Gill (27-2-1, 8 KOs) in a fight that also became an IBF eliminator owned by Josh Warrington. Martinez sent Gill to the floor four times before the fight was stopped at 2:44. Gill was a 3-1 favorite before the fight.
