Lomachenko compared sparring with Stevenson and Garcia

Former world champion in three divisions Vasily Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs) compared sparring with Shakur Stevenson (19-0, 9 KOs) and Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KOs).

ā€œFor me, sparring with Shakur was more interesting, because we trained with him, probably five or six times. And with Ryan Garcia, I only sparred three rounds.

When I sparred with Ryan Garcia, I didn't know anything about him. I was just getting ready for my next fight. He came to my gym and we had a few rounds. When I sparred with Stevenson, I knew him. I knew that he was an Olympic silver medalist. I know that Shakur knows boxing.

Now everything is different. Now Garcia is a professional boxer. When I sparred with him, he was still a kid. But now he has power, professional experience, speed, IQ. The same can be said about Gervonta Davis,ā€ Lomachenko said in an interview with the Fight Hub TV YouTube channel.

Recall that on October 29 in New York, Lomachenko will fight with American Jamaine Ortiz.
