Interim WBC American welterweight champion Sebastian Fundora (20-0-1, 13 KOs) won by unanimous decision over the Mexican Carlos Ocampo (34-2, 22 KOs) in the main event of the evening on Showtime at the Dignity Health Arena in Carson, California. Judging scores: 117-111, 118-110 and 119-109.
In his typical manner, Fundora, who was noticeably taller than his opponent, constantly jabbed, but Ocampo often managed to land his punches from the right. In the second round, Ocampo started bleeding from his nose. Despite this, until the end of the fight, Ocampo managed to put up desperate resistance to the enemy, but Fundora's advantage was not in doubt, and for moments the referee and the doctor at the ring were closely watching what was happening, ready to intervene at any second.
