Shakur Stevenson (18-0, 9 KOs) missed the second featherweight limit at the official weigh-in ceremony before the fight with Robson Conceicao (17-1, 8 KOs). Stevenson's weight was 59.7 kg, instead of the prescribed 59 kg (130 pounds). Conceicao showed 58.8 kg on the scales.

The fight will be the main event of the Friday night of boxing in Newark. The American said that he would not lose extra pounds, so if he wins tomorrow's fight, the WBO and WBC champion titles will become vacant. If the Brazilian wins, he will become the new owner of these belts.

“I gave it my all,” Stevenson said on social media. “I've been a pro all my career and I've been weightlifting, but my body can no longer go up to 130 pounds. My health comes first. My next fight will be at 135 pounds."
