Blades: Ngannou-Jones would be historic fight

Top American heavyweight UFC Curtis Blades said that he would like to see a fight between the champion in his weight Francis Ngannou and former "king" of the light heavyweight division John Jones.

“It all depends on who the UFC wants to promote. The question is who they think has the best chance of giving Jones an exciting fight. So the situation can turn in any direction. Personally, I would like to see John fight Ngannou if Francis has time to recover. This fight would be historic,” Blades said in an interview with The Schmo.

Jones, 35, has not competed since February 2020, when he defeated Dominic Reyes via unanimous decision. Later, the American left the title vacant due to disagreements with the management of the promotion and announced the transition to heavyweight.
