Suleiman promises Paul a place in the rankings

The President of the WBC announced that in case of victory Jake Paul (5-0, 4 KOs) over Hasim Rahman Jr. (12-1, 6 KOs) he makes his debut in the World Boxing Council rankings in the first heavyweight division. The bout will be the main event on the evening of August 6 at Madison Square Garden.

“It's amazing that brothers Jake and Logan Paul have taken up the tough sport of boxing, which requires self-sacrifice and discipline. They attract millions of new fans to our sport,” says Mauricio Suleiman.

Rahman Jr., 31, replaced Tommy Fury, whose trip to the US was legally impossible. The last time Paul boxed was in December, and in August of this year he will meet with a professional boxer for the first time. The evening of boxing in the United States will be shown on the Showtime channel in a paid broadcast.
