Matchroom Boxing also confirmed that a qualifying bout for the WBC light heavyweight title between Callum Smith (28-1, 20 KOs) and Mathieu Boderlik (21-1, 12 KOs) will take place on the same evening. The winner will be the mandatory opponent for Artur Beterbiev.
Tyrone Spong (14-0, 13 KOs) will play another professional fight as part of the August event, but his opponent is still unknown. Former world champion Badu Jack (26-3-3, 16 KOs) will return to the ring in Saudi Arabia, and his opponent will be Richard Rivera (21-0, 16 KOs).
The main event of this gala will be a rematch between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk for three heavyweight championship belts.
