Chandler advises McGregor not to rush return

Top lightweight UFC Michael Chandler spoke about a possible fight with the former champion of the organization in two weight categories Conor McGregor. Chandler noted that the Irishman needs to fully recover from the injury before returning to the octagon.

“He should come back when he heals 100 percent of his leg, because mixed martial arts and the UFC as a promotion are better when they have Conor McGregor. However, we need a healthy Conor McGregor in the octagon, so he does not need to rush. We'll see when he comes back," Chandler said.

Recall that McGregor broke his leg in July last year during a duel with Dustin Poirier. He lost that fight by TKO and has since been recovering from the injury.
