Sterling has special respect for Khabib

UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling shared his opinion about the organization's former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Sterling noted that Khabib was able to leave in time, which is not possible for every champion.

“You have to be very smart to get the hell out of here in time, so you have to respect a guy like that. I have always had a special respect for guys like Khabib, because he woke up 29 times on the day of the fight, and was ready to fight mentally, physically and spiritually, and this is a very difficult task.

Recall that Khabib ended his career in October 2020, having won in a farewell fight with a choke over Justin Gaethje.
