Kamaru Usman, the UFC welterweight champion, shared his opinion about Leon Edwards, with whom he will soon have a rematch.
“We are in 4-ounce gloves, it is not so difficult to knock out an opponent in them. If we're talking about a guy that's technical and fast enough to find holes in an opponent's defense, throw the right punch in there, and finish it, Leon Edwards is the best at it. He did an amazing job, he is incredibly technical, polished. I even admire some of the strikes in his performance. I think: “Damn, it would be great if my two was so fast and technical.” He has grown a lot - we saw this in his fight with Nate Diaz. Edwards has shown that he has really evolved in every area, in every aspect of the game. This makes him extremely dangerous, and I can see it."
Recall that the confrontation between Usman and Edwards will be held on August 20 and will head the UFC 280 tournament.
