The American earned a million dollars for his performance, while the Argentinean's salary was half a million.
On the same evening in the IBF welterweight eliminator, Jaron Ennis beat Custio Clayton ahead of schedule, earning $400,000 for it. The Canadian who lost for the first time in a professional ring received 100,000.
On Saturday, former world light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev also returned to the ring, earning $500,000 for his debut in the light heavyweight division. The fee of his rival Tervel Pulev was 195 thousand dollars.
Gilberto Ramirez earned a million dollars for his performance, in which he beat Dominique Bözel ahead of schedule ($100,000). The fight was a WBA light heavyweight eliminator.
