Scott Alexander (16-4-2, 8 KOs) will eventually become an opponent Zhang Zhilei (23-0-1, 18 KOs) at the Saturday night of boxing in Las Vegas. The fight will be scheduled for 10 rounds. American replaced Philip Hrgovic, who withdrew from the fight due to the death of his father in April, which prevented him from mentally preparing for the fight.
Alexander, 33, lost on points to Carlos Negron in his last professional appearance in May last year. The last time the Chinese boxed was in November.
The fight between Zhang and Hrgovic, who will become an IBF heavyweight title eliminator, will be rescheduled to a later date.
