According to ESPN's Mike Coppinger, the most likely next opponent Andy Ruiz Jr. (34-2, 22 KOs) will Luis Ortiz (33-2, 28 KOs) and not Tyrone Spong (14-0, 13 KOs).

A few days ago, the promotional organization Thriller Fight Club officially announced the Ruiz-Spong fight on July 16, but according to an ESPN journalist, the Mexican had previously signed a contract to face the Cuban King Kong at the Premier Boxing Champions evening.

Coppinger's message was confirmed by Thriller's David Tetro: "We are working with PBC to ensure that Ruiz delivers on his commitments to both parties. Had we known that PBC had an appointment with him earlier, we would not have picked that date. We have a good relationship with PBC and are currently working on a new optimal fight date to be agreed with PBC."
