Marshall knocked out Hermans

In the main event of the boxing evening in Newcastle Savannah Marshall (12-0, 10 KOs) knocked out Femke Hermans (12-4, 5 KOs) in the third round. Thus, the British defended her WBO middleweight title.

After the first, reconnaissance round, the 30-year-old Marshall forced her opponent to go on the defensive and began to break her with strong blows from both hands. The fight ended after Marshall landed a left hook, from which the Belgian was on the floor and the fight was immediately stopped.

On the same evening Florian Marcu knocked out Chris Jenkins in the fourth round to retain his IBF International Welterweight Championship. In the next speech, the Albanian could theoretically meet with Amir Khan.
