Former UFC champion in two weight divisions Henry Cejudo speculated on the topic of a possible confrontation between welterweight prospect Khamzat Chimaev and top lightweight Islam Makhachev.
“Chimaev is probably more experienced in the fight, and his control from above is as good as that of Islam. So I think the underdog in this fight will be Makhachev, no matter how good he is. They're both my friends, but size will matter in a style clash like this. Much of this fight would come to naught, to a large extent it will be a wrestling contest,” Cejudo said in an interview with The Schmo.
Yesterday it was announced that Chimaev's next fight will be against Gilbert Burns on April 9 at UFC 273.
