Charlo-Castano rematch postponed to May 14

On May 14, a rematch should finally take place in the USA Jermella Charlo (34-1-1, 18 KOs) and Brian Castano (17-0-2, 12 KOs) for four super middleweight championship belts. The fight was previously scheduled for March 19.

The postponement of the date was due to physical ailment of Castano, who had to take a break of several weeks from classes in the boxing gym. The new date of the fight for the absolute world championship in the weight category up to 69 kilograms has not yet been officially confirmed.

Boxers crossed their gloves for the first time last July. In the course of the fight, it seemed that the Argentinean deserved to win, but in the end, the judges counted a draw. The winner of the rematch will be required to defend the WBO championship belt with Tim Tszyu (20-0, 15 KOs).
