Legacy Sports Management will host an outdoor event in Dubai on March 26th. The evening will take place at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium with a capacity of 6,000 people. In the main event, the former world champion in two divisions will return to the ring after almost 8 years of inactivity Marcos "Chino" Maidana (35-5, 31 KOs), who last fought Floyd Mayweather in 2014.
Maidana's opponent in a 6-round fight will be a YouTube star from Uruguay, 24-year-old Yao Cabrera, who has more than 10 million subscribers on social networks. Cabrera became famous for faking his own death and then coming back to life at the end of 2019. Popular stuntman Cabrera has been dubbed "the most despicable man in South America", which has earned him such a large following on social media.
Also tonight, former world title contender Cuban Mike Perez (26-3-1) will defend his WBA Intercontinental Heavyweight title against Czech Vasil Dukar (10-4-1). Dukar fought Chris Billam Smith for the WBA Continental Title at Wembley Arena in the UK last March and most recently won by knockout in his native Czech Republic last October. Perez is currently ranked 10th in the World Boxing Association rankings.
In total, 9 fights are scheduled for this evening, including a fight for the WBO junior world title between Argentine Olympian Brian Agustin Arregui and Indian Kulbir Dhaka.
