Santa Cruz, Ramos and Neri win

Former WBA featherweight champion Leo "El Terremoto" Santa Cruz (38-2-1, 19 KOs) won by unanimous decision over Keenan "Bedo" Carbajal (23-3-1, 15 KOs) in a non-title match on the Thurman-Barrios undercard this Saturday at the Mandalay Bay Arena in Las Vegas. Santa Cruz suffered a cut over his right eye as a result of an accidental headbutt, but other than that he was punching non-stop as usual. Judging score: three times 100-90.

Undefeated super middleweight Jesús "Mono" Ramos (18-0, 15 KOs) scored a convincing sixth-round TKO victory over Vladimir Hernandez (13-5, 6 KOs). A flurry of blows forced the referee to intervene at 2:21.

Former two-weight world champion Luis "Panthera" Neri (32-1, 24 KOs) won a split decision victory over the previously undefeated Carlos Castro (27-1, 12 KOs) in the bantamweight division. Nery sent Castro to the floor already in the first round, but after that Castro was actively jabbing and Nery had to work hard to win 96-93 95-94 on two maps. The third judge gave Castro 95-94.
