Vargas-Smith rescheduled for April 30

Fight between Jesse Vargas (29-3-2, 11 KOs) and Liam Smith (30-3-1, 17 KOs) rescheduled for April 30. The fight will be the main event of the evening hosted by Jake Paul in New York.

Initially, the fight was supposed to take place on the upcoming Saturday, but recently Vargas had to stop training due to coronavirus infection. The American suffered a mild illness and will soon be able to resume training.

Thus, Vargas, who was a former world welterweight champion, will return to the ring after a two-year hiatus. Smith last boxed in October last year.
