Former rival Shlemenko and Mineev killed in Brazil

MMA veteran Maykel Falcao was killed in his hometown of Pelotas. The Brazilian fighter received two stab wounds near one of the bars. Falcao was taken to the hospital, but the doctors could not save him.

Falcao has been a UFC fighter at various times, as well as Bellator. In particular, he even fought for the Bellator champion belt, losing ahead of schedule Alexandru Shlemenko. It is worth noting that on the way to the belt, he won against another Russian fighter - Vyacheslav Vasilevsky.

It should also be noted that Falcao inflicted the only loss in his professional career to AMC Fight Nights Global middleweight champion Vladimir Mineev.
