A few weeks ago, the news spread around the world that the undisputed middleweight champion Saul Alvarez (57-1-2, 39 KOs) challenged the WBC cruiserweight champion Ilunge Makabu (28-2, 25 KOs). Winner of the WBO belt in the weight category up to 91 kg Lawrence Okoli (17-0, 14 KOs) claims that Canelo's team has chosen their target very accurately, and the Mexican will not enter the ring with any other champion cruiser.

“I am a realist and I see no chance for my fight with Canelo. I would be shocked if they wanted it,” said Okoli. - And it's not about fear or something like that, but simply about the difference in height, weight and strength. There are limits to human abilities. Here we have those who weigh 90 kilograms, and those who are able to keep within 79 kg, not to mention the weight on the day of the fight. My bank account would be happy with a fight with Canelo, but in my opinion there is no chance of that, ”said Okoli, who will cross gloves with Michal Cieslak (21-1, 15 KOs) on February 27.
