According to boxing columnist Dan Raphael, Manuel Charr (31-4, 17 KOs) did not receive the P1 visa in the USA on time and will not be able to fight for the regular WBA heavyweight belt with Trevor Bryan (21-0, 15 KOs). According to the American journalist, the boxer living in Germany had to go through all the formalities in this regard by December 29.

Now Charr in a duel with Bryan will replace Jonathan Guidry (17-0-2, 10 KOs), which is ranked thirteenth in the WBA rankings. The 32-year-old American has not yet boxed with any significant rival, and in August he returned to the ring after a two-year hiatus.

If Charr's loss to the championship fight is officially confirmed, it can be expected that the case will continue in court. Charr threatened the World Boxing Association leadership with legal consequences after last year's attempt to meet with Bryan.

The main event of the evening, which will take place on January 29 in the United States, will be the fight for the world title in the first heavyweight between Ilunga Makabu and Thabiso Mchunu. The winner of the bout is due to box in May with Saul Alvarez.
