Lebedev urges Kovalev not to climb to cruiserweights

Former cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev believes that Sergey Kovalev do not move to his weight category.

Earlier it was reported that the 38-year-old former light heavyweight champion may hold his next fight in February in Russia. The representative of the "Krusher" team said that he can compete in cruiserweight.

“Kovalev, of course, will decide for himself. We have such a bright personality from Chelyabinsk. But I would not recommend him to move to the first heavy weight with his manner,” Lebedev said.

Kovalev has not appeared in the ring since November 2019, when he lost by TKO to Saul Alvarez.
