Batyrgaziev and Vlasov score victories

In the fight of the former light heavyweight title contenders Maxim Vlasov (46-4, 26 KOs) defeated Felix Valera (19-5, 16 KOs)  by unanimous decision on Friday at the Krylya Sovetov Sports Palace arena in Moscow.

Vlasov was able to send Valera to the floor in the second round and twice in the fourth, but the staunch Valera managed to hold out all ten rounds. Thus, Vlasov closed his last defeat against WBO champion Joe Smith Jr. in April.

The main event of the evening is the 2020 Olympic Featherweight Champion Albert Batyrgaziev (5-0, 5 KOs) in the fourth round by technical knockout stopped the former challenger for the world title Franklin Manzanilla (20-8, 19 KOs). Batyrgaziev put pressure on Manzanilla throughout the fight and sent him to the floor twice in the fourth round until the fight was stopped.

The undefeated super lightweight Hariton Agrba (7-0, 4 KOs) stopped 38-year-old Petr Petrov (42-7-2, 23 KOs) in the third round. The highlight of Petrov's professional career was his victory in the ESPN Boxcino Lightweight Championship in 2014.
