At the turn of March and April, there will be a unification fight for three belts in welterweight between the WBC and IBF champion Errol Spence Jr. (27-0, 21 KO) and WBA champion Yordenis Ugas (27-4,12 KO).

At the same evening, the mandatory WBA challenger Eimantas Stanionis (13-0, 9 KO) will meet with the regular champion of the World Boxing Association Rajab Butaev (14-0, 11 KO). The winner of this duel will face the best in the duel, Spence-Ugas.

This means that WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford may not get a unification fight next year. Spence was scheduled to box with Manny Pacquiao in August but was forced to withdraw due to vision problems.
